Adam has worked in the field of sport and physical activity for the past 25 years. A graduate from Staffordshire University where he studied Sport and Recreation, his early career was built on a foundation of roles in facility management and sports development. He joined Sport England in 2001 and has held a number of posts including Active Schools, Health and Physical Activity Lead, Local Government Lead and Head of Investment. He is currently a Strategic Lead in the Local Delivery Directorate at Sport England where he has had an influential role in determining the approach to local delivery pilots which sit at the heart of the organisations current strategy Towards an Active Nation, seeking to create a blueprint to deliver population level change, tackling physical inactivity with a particular focus on under-represented groups.
